1. Data Minimization
OtakuStatus adheres to strict data minimization principles. We do not sell user data, track you across the web, or collect behavioral profiling data.
2. Outage Reporting & IP Hashes
When you submit an outage report, your IP address is used solely to generate a non-reversible cryptographic SHA-256 fingerprint combined with the target service ID. This fingerprint prevents duplicate burst reporting and is automatically deleted.
3. Web Push Notifications
When you enable browser push notifications, your browser provides a unique push endpoint and cryptographic keys (p256dh, auth). This data is stored securely and used exclusively to deliver status alerts you requested. You may revoke push notification permissions at any time directly in your browser.
4. User Accounts
Account registration requires only an email and password or WebAuthn/passkey credential. Account holders can delete their account and associated data anytime under settings.
